The World Tunnel Congress 2024 takes place from Friday 19th - Thursday 25th April in Shenzhen, China. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Tunnelling for a Better Life’, with a focus on three elements: i) sustainability of tunnelling; ii) energy-saving, eco-friendly, green and low-carbon; and iii) the promotion and application of intelligent construction technology.
On Tuesday 23rd April during the technical session 2.4 around design and methodology, our MD in Israel, Petr Salak will deliver a presentation (sharing contributions from Franz Wilhelmstoetter - MD for our US office, and Angelos Gakis - Head of Geotoechnics) that looks at Carbon Reduction in conventional tunnelling by advanced design. Additionally Petr will chair technical session 9 on Wednesday from 15.50 that will cover Waterproofing and Drainage. Please do join the sessions if you are at the event, we would love to see you!
