Dr. Sauer & Partners is delighted to congratulate Bethan Haig on her win at last week's European Women in Construction and Engineering Awards (WICE). Bethan won the Best Woman in Tunnelling & Underground Construction Award 2017. It is a well deserved win in a category with strong competition however, it was Bethan’s 12 years of admirable experience and her collaborative approach in leading teams in major tunnelling projects across the UK that pushed her into the winning spot for the award.
After heading the Dr. Sauer & Partners design team for the Deep Tube Tunnel Assessment on the Bank Station project, Bethan moved into the position of Project Engineering Manager. Her in-depth knowledge of all new and existing underground assets at Bank, and the excellent collaboration between LU, Dragados and Dr. Sauer & Partners allowed her to move into that role.
The WICE Awards have been running for several years and celebrate the most exemplary women within the construction and engineering industries across Europe, and also as a platform to encourage companies to employ and train more women. Dr. Sauer & Partners is proud to employ some of the best female engineers in the industry, and is exceptionally proud of Bethan and her win. Congratulations Bethan!
