The Geotechnical Society of Ireland (GSI) is running its annual Transport Tunnelling Seminar in Dublin on Wednesday 10th April, and Dr. Sauer & Partners’ Head of Geotechnical Engineering, Dr. Angelos Gakis has been invited to present.
With the increasing frequency of tunnelling methods being adopted for transportation projects both worldwide and in Ireland, the importance of understanding the various planning, design and risks associated with these methods is crucial for the successful execution of both the design and construction of the project. Angelos will share his 3D Geological Model and specifically how it was used to manage Geotechnical risks at Crossrail Farringdon Station.
The half day seminar will provide an overview of tunnel planning, design and construction across all applications and all geologies. Furthers information can be found on the GSI website.
