In addition, Senior Tunnel Engineer, Mr Elmar Feigl presented his paper 'Underpinning of an Operational Subway Aided by Mined Galleries' which discussed the use of SEM drifts to facilitate a large underpinning scheme of the operational Line 1 Finch branch of the Toronto subway system.
