The TAC, (Tunnelling Association of Canada) celebrated its second physical event of the year last week following on from a very successful TAC 2020-one conference that took place earlier in October. Dr. G. Sauer & Partners took the opportunity to act as sponsor for this event where our staff members and MD in Canada, Gerald M. Skalla enjoyed the company of many industry friends and colleagues who came to network, eat, drink, chat, and celebrate the feast of St. Barbara - the patron saint of miners and tunnellers.
For the Dr. Sauer team, it was the first opportunity to meet the Typsa team in person who we are working closely with on the ECWE (Eglinton Crosstown West Extension) project. With just a couple of beers, we were able to catch up on all the missed water cooler talk!
On behalf of Dr. G. Sauer & Partners, Gerald Skalla was presented with a certificate of appreciation for our support of the event by Dan Ifrim, Past Director of the TAC, Ontario Chapter.
We are looking forward to an exciting new year in 2022 for the local tunnelling industry with new important infrastructure projects coming to market and new TAC events drawing in a growing audience.
