The BTS was formed in 1971 to provide a forum for tunnel-related discussions, education and advancements. The BTS publishes industry guidelines and codes of practice; conducts training courses to advance the education of tunnelling professionals; actively supports the recruitment of young people to the industry; acknowledges excellence in tunnelling; sponsors and supports industry conferences; and advises Government and the general public on the tunnelling industry. For many years Dr. Sauer & Partners has been a member and a supporter of the BTS.
The society has held a dinner every year since 1989 and Dr. Sauer & Partners has been attending this event for many years.
The annual gala dinner is a great opportunity to celebrate the tunnel industry's achievements and also provides a forum for looking ahead to future projects.
The dinner is also a good setting for networking with tunnelling industry peers in a relaxed but professional environment. By hosting a table of both employees and clients, we offer our staff and clients the chance to interact and enjoy a social, company evening out.
