The latest edition of Tunnels and Tunnelling International includes a feature length article by Dr. Sauer & Partners' Bethan Haig and Dr. Ali Nasekhian. In the publication, they take a look back at the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade Project and discuss some of the complex tunnelling solutions used to deliver the upgrade project at one of London's busiest interchange stations. The design solution, whilst complex also needed to consider its carbon impact - details of this are also shared by Ali and Bethan who had to find the balance between constructability and carbon savings within their design.
