We are delighted to share that the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension Advance Tunnel Contract 1 has been awarded the 2025 Canadian Project of the Year (Over $300M CAD) by the Tunnelling Association of Canada!
This prestigious award celebrates the project team who demonstrated exceptional engineering expertise and a deep understanding of underground construction in Canada. Huge congratulations to Metrolinx, Infrastructure Ontario, and the entire West End Connectors team whose collaboration made this achievement possible.
At Dr. Sauer & Partners, we're proud to have contributed to the design and construction phase services for nine of the SEM cross passages connecting the twin TBM running tunnels. By enabling the start of these cross passages before the main tunnels were completed, we helped deliver a significant positive impact on the project schedule.
