As in previous years, members of the Dr. Sauer & Partners’ team made the trip up to the University of Warwick to present to the students enrolled on its MSc in Tunnelling and Underground Space course.
On Thursday 13th Feb 2020, Dr. Alexandra Moldovan and Cate Anthony presented to the students on the University of Warwick MSc course. Alex presented first, delivering a lecture on Fibre Reinforced Sprayed Concrete Design, specifically talking about the principles we use for our lining designs. Cate then gave a talk showing how and where these have been used in practice - with examples of Dr. Sauer & Partners’ tunnelling from around the world.
It is a great opportunity for us to support the course and contribute to the module, also to engage with future engineers who may go on to focus on tunnelling and join our community. Thank you to Alex and Cate for their support of this initiative.
