On April 8th, Gerald Skalla had the opportunity to give a presentation to a group of civil engineering Masters students from FH Johanneum, Graz Austria touring in Canada.
The Geotechnical Society of Ireland (GSI) is running its annual Transport Tunnelling Seminar in Dublin on Wednesday 10th April, and Dr. Sauer & Partners’ Head of Geotechnical Engineering, Dr. Angelos Gakis has been invited to present.
On Thursday 4th April, Dr. Sauer & Partners’ Technical Director, Thomas Schwind will take to the stage for the BTSYM Evening Lectures series. He will present our work on the Confederation Line in Ottawa.
Dr. Sauer & Partner’s MD in the UK, Brian Lyons, recently gave a presentation titled '10 Years of SCL' to the LBA/BASF Sprayed Concrete Workshop held at the Hagerbach detailing his view of UK SCL Tunnelling achievements over the last decade.
Last month, a paper written by Chara Kalogeraki and Dr. Angelos Gakis of Dr. Sauer & Partners and Dr. Panagiotis Spyridis from the Technical University of Dortmund (previously Dr. Sauer & Partners) was presented during the 16th International Probabilistic Workshop (IPW) in Vienna.
At the end of last year, Dr Sauer & Partners' Andreas Spiegl took to the stage alongside CoLOR's Steve Nuttall and LU's Richard Watts to present work at Bond Street Station for the upgrade project.
Dr Sauer & Partners has been assigned to assess the ground movement impact of the proposed BSCU tunnelling works on the existing LU (London Underground) & DLR (Docklands Light Railway) civil assets in the Bank-Monument station complex.
