After nine weeks of project shutdown due to COVID-19, the Dr. Sauer & Partners site representation team is back at work on the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade (BSCU) project.

The National Infrastructures Committee approved the alignment of the Metro M2 Line for Tel Aviv on 20th May 2020. Dr. Sauer & Partners are delighted to join the team.>

The Bank Station Capacity Upgrade (BSCU) project features in the latest edition of Tunnels & Tunnelling magazine

The Confederation line is an electrically powered light rail line crossing Canada’s capital from west to east and opened to the public on September 14, 2019. It was the largest infrastructure project in the history of the City of Ottawa. Rideau station is one of three mined underground stations on the line.

After three years of tunnelling on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project, Laird Station is the first of the three mined stations to have completed SEM tunnelling.

The 3.7 m diameter TBM constructing Ottawa’s Combined Sewage Storage Tunnel (CSST) successfully completed the east-west drive in September 2019.

After nearly two and half years of tunnelling at the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade (BSCU) project, about 90% of the new SCL tunnels are complete. The focus for the tunnel gangs is now on the escalator tunnels.
